Daniel Boone Statue (North Carolina)

In 1999, Appalachian State University was celebrating its 150th anniversary. An alumnus from Kentucky presented the school with this bronze statue of Daniel Boone in camp with his hunting dogs. The sculpture was modeled and cast by Sherry Edwards, faculty member. It was placed almost at the spot where the Boone Cabin Monument had been erected in 1913.
